Student council is a group of students who represent their peers in school government and help organize school events. Student councils can be found in elementary, middle, and high schools.

The council’s executive team typically includes a president, vice president, treasurer and secretary.
Other positions may include additional vice presidents, class representatives and a historian .
The council works with an adult advisor within the framework of a constitution or bylaws.
